Marriage Licenses

Here's what you need to know before you apply for a marriage license.

Marriage licenses may be obtains through:
Livingston County Clerks office

335 Court Street
Smithland, KY  42081

The clerk's office is in the County Courthouse and is approximately a 20 minute drive Grand Rivers. You do not have to be a resident of Kentucky.  Both applicants must be present to obtain the license.  There is no waiting period to obtain the license in Kentucky.  The Livingston County Clerk for fee and more information.

Forms of Payment accepted: Cash, Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Money Order.

The license is valid for thirty (30) days. 

Officiants:
Any ordained or licensed clergymen who have been licensed in Kentucky to perform weddings, and justices of the peace.
